Satcher leads a successful nonprofit with more than two decades of ministry that has provided aid to orphans, single mothers and the homeless. His nonprofit provided aid after Hurricane Irene, numerous tornadoes and the earthquake in Haiti. from Citizens For Renewing America Tell Speaker McCarthy To Hold The Line On Spending
| |
Wade Miller Writes:
"Reporting in D.C. seems to indicate that Speaker Kevin McCarthy and Rep. Patrick McHenry are trying to test the strength of the Speaker deal between House Freedom Caucus members (specifically 20 of them) and the coalition-style government that it ushered in, by trying to work out a deal with Democrats that would backslide on key tenets of the original deal. Sensing a potential hint of McCarthy trying to slide back expectations on what the deal might look like to raise the debt ceiling, Russ Vought, Chip Roy, and the House Freedom Caucus all weighed in last week to reinforce the position that the current deal that passed the House must remain intact. Rep. Roy was right to point out that with the looming debt ceiling “deadline” of June 1st, President Biden is in Japan, and the Senate isn’t in town.
The new deal being negotiated sounds like the contours consist of only slightly lower spending than 2023, a two years caps deal on non-defense and defense discretionary spending, and leaving out much of the rest of the deal or only having watered-down versions of it. In response, Russ (Vought) and I have both been on Steve Bannon’s War Room to discuss, as well as other venues, to call conservatives to action to stop this. I recommend watching and sharing these interviews to have a fuller understanding of what is occurring. These are also found on Truth Social, Gettr, and Facebook, as well as Rumble.

Loving Florida - Living Free. The FPEA Florida Homeschool Convention
| |
The 2023 Florida Parent-Educators Association (FPEA) held its annual Florida Homeschool Convention over the last few days at the Rosen Shingle Creek Convention Center in Orlando. And it was massive! Over 20,000 home schooling parents and family members were in attendance to hear speakers like Alex Newman and L. Lacour Hobar speak on a variety of topics from understanding the principles of our freedoms to the best way to manage a home schooling curriculum. A virtual army of exhibitors were on hand to provide books, lesson plans and ideas to help support parents in their efforts. It was the largest Homeschooling Convention in the America!
| |
Nearly 10% of all K-12 students in Florida are homeschooled. And with the support of the FPEA and hundreds of vendors providing support, we fully expect this trend to grow. Manatee Patriots was proud to be a part of this fantastic event and look forward to participating in the future. To learn more about the FPEA, visit their website by clicking this link.
