She's A Star In More Ways Than One

Last Wednesday, our own Cindy Spray appeared on Fox & Friends.  Cindy mentioned that having Gov. DeSantis' endorsement played an important role in her winning the Manatee County School Board seat for District 2.  We have posted this exciting interview on our website which may be viewed by clicking the above image.  'Way to go Cindy!

The First In A Series Of Commitment Meetings For Newly Elected Officials After Thanksgiving

Florida Sunshine Laws prevent us from having more than one member of a particular board attend the same meeting.  In order to comply with this important law we have organized a series of meetings where our newly elected officials will outline the goals for their new positions.   Our first meeting will be hosted after the Thanksgiving break (November 29 meeting) and will feature the following board members:

  • Sunshine Mathews, Palmetto Commissioner, Ward 2 City of Palmetto Ward 2
  • Lisa Gonzalez Moore, Bradenton City Council Ward 4 City of Bradenton
  • Mike Rahn, County Commission District 4

The former candidates will be given 20 minutes each to present on what they want to accomplish during their term.  Questions may be asked during the session or be submitted in advance by using the "Contact" form on our website.  You may access this form by clicking this link

This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in County Government.  Subscribers are encouraged to invite guests so that they too can see "governing by the consent of the governed" in action!

The Continuing Saga Of The Manatee County Library System

Our Manatee County Schools Action Team Leader - Deanna Brinkley - shared the following correspondence concerning recent actions with the Manatee County Library System.

"Hi Gang,

Just a little update on the Library performance.

I spoke with Commissioner Kevin Van Ostenbridge at an event on Tuesday night.

It seems that the Librarian decided to put up the library policy poster in place of the empty display case. Someone took a picture and sent it to Commissioner KVO. As HE zoomed in on the picture to see what their rules were he was not too happy...let's just say.  So he sent out the person who is the department head over all libraries to investigate. Kevin wanted to see if his instinct was correct that it was malicious intent for the poster. She actually implied that it was done on purpose to poke the commissioners in the eye, per KVO. This is what I have been told. Still investigating to corroborate that this was accurate. Needless to say, 2 hours later she was FIRED!!! Talk about swift action. What the heck is going on with the schools???!!!!

I will be meeting with Commissioner KVO to talk further about the library procedures, chain of command, and the standards they want to set. We see that clear unbiased policies need to be implemented and overseen.

I told him that there is much more going on inside these libraries. He requested that I bring evidence, pictures documents, etc. I do not have a set date yet so we have time for recon. Please send me your intel of displays, agendas, politics, and anything that is inappropriate. Libraries should be neutral. No agendas or politics. It would be nice for them to promote and display true literature but that seems to have gone by the wayside!! As I have now gone through the public library shelves myself, I am saddened to see what today's literature for children looks like. No wonder we have so many behavioral issues. These kids are purposely being confused and manipulated. Unfortunately, the left wraps it up in a nice pretty package, and some have taken the bait hook line, and sinker!

Looks like we have more advocates on our side. Commissioner James Satcher has replied with his thoughts on the subject. Thank You, James!!!

Guess we are not such kookie, eccentric, lunatics!! LOL
