Special Summer Break Edition Issue #3
Our Summer Break begins this week, August 23 and extends through September 13. Meetings will resume on September 20 with a special Poll Watcher Training session presented by the Republican Party Of Florida.
While there will be no General Meetings, Action Teams may conduct separate meetings during the break. Be sure to check with your Action Team leader for details!
And mark you calendars! Our first meeting after the Summer Break will have Tim Abakhin, Regional Election Integrity Director for the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF), conducting a special Poll Watcher training session exclusively for Manatee Patriots. This training is a requirement to become a credentialed Poll Watcher for the Republican Party during the General Election. You won't want to miss Tim's essential training on Tuesday, September 20.

Congratulations to Our Candidates!
We nearly had a clean sweep in the Manatee County School Board Elections. Chad Choate retained his District 4 seat while Richard Tatem ousted the Rev. James Golden for the District 5 seat.
While winning the majority of the votes, Cindy Spray is headed for a runoff election in November with Harold Byrd in District 2. We look forward to assisting her in her campaign.
Jason Bearden took the top spot in the Manatee County Commissioner At Large race. And fellow Marine Mike Bearden joined Jason in the Winner's Circle for Manatee County Commissioner District 4.
Vern Buchanan, Jim Boyd and Joe Gruters all won their respective races as well. Now on to the General Elections in November!

This active group hosts a weekly Zoom meeting to discuss important topics related to Election Integrity.
