Dear Guest Guest,

Fireworks!

July 4th came early this year at our meeting last Tuesday night. Tammy Fitzgerald presented a well-documented and thoughtful argument as to why we should support Ukraine in the current conflict with Russia. But the audience took exception with many of her premises. However, displaying diplomatic skills acquired over a career in the Foreign Service, Tammy adroitly handled the barrage of questions. We have recorded this presentation in its entirely and have posted on our website. To view it, simply click this link.

Florida Citizens Alliance Next Tuesday

And don't forget, next week our good friend - Keith Flaugh, Co-Founder of Florida Citizens Alliance - will be on hand to speak on the current state of the education system here in Florida. You won't want to miss his insightful presentation.

Summertime Is Potluck Dinner Time!

It's our tradition to host a potluck dinner at all Manatee Patriots meetings.  So we ask attendees to please bring along an item that can be shared among fellow Patriots.  Bring any portion you like but most folks tend to bring 10-12 servings of a particular dish.

Beware of Gmail!

With a critical Presidential election next year, we think Alphabet (the parent Company of Google and therefore Gmail) is at it again!  We have heard disturbing instances of Gmail users discovering that routine emails from known Conservative sources are being redirected away from their normal mailboxes.  So we are urging all Gmail users to actively monitor their inboxes to keep an eye out for these shenanigans.  With so many reliable email ISPs available, we should all consider these letters of the alphabet:  D-R-O-P-G-M-A-I-L.

Reminder:  FFTARS Convention This Saturday

Hey everyone,

The Florida Federation of Teenage Republicans (FFTARS) is going to have its biggest and greatest annual state convention EVER next weekend (June 17), with incredible speakers such as Gen. Michael Flynn and Roger Stone along with key leaders from across our great state. (See flyer below)

We need your help to make it even better! Get tickets here: https://www.flteenagerepublicans.com/donate-copy

These young people are the future of the Republican Party and the future political leaders of our state and country. As our liberties come under escalating attack and our nation finds itself in growing turmoil, we need to support and encourage these future leaders in every way we can.

That's where you come in.

This email is being sent out to over 150 carefully chosen grassroots leaders, Republican and conservative club organizers, political figures, pastors, and prominent media voices across Florida. If everybody on this list shares with their people, we will reach virtually the entire conservative movement in Florida.

Other ways you can help: 1) SHOW UP! 2) Invite the young people in your life for this historic opportunity to interact with key national and state leaders 3) Get a booth at the event 4) Help financially 5) Pray for these young leaders 6) Spread the word in your sphere of influence.

The FL Federation of Teenage Republicans is already the largest and most active in the nation, with many chapters across the state and more being created as we speak. Let's move this to the next level so our young leaders know we have their back!

Here is the link to get tickets one more time: https://www.flteenagerepublicans.com/donate-copy

Thanks in advance for your support, and we look forward to seeing you on June 17 ðŸ™‚

Blessings,

Alex Newman & Marlee Newman, FFTARS Treasurer

Sage Advice: Avoid Whatever Gavin Newsom Supports

The great "Convention of States" debate rages on!  We recently heard from our friend Jonathan Viaud representing the point of view from the Convention of States Action organization.  However, this week, JBS.org responds with a piece on how liberal icon and California Governor Gavin Newsome supports a Convention of States.  To read the full article, just click this link.

LWVMC Zoom Meeting On Book Restrictions

The League of Women Voters of Manatee County has organized a Zoom meeting next Tuesday, June 20 at 4pm to  "...explain how the recent laws regarding banning books are being implemented in the local public schools and answer your questions".  The presenters will include Kevin Chapman, Executive Director of Administration and Alison Nichols, Director of Elementary Curriculum.    It is interesting to note that according to the Florida Division of Elections Voter List, Mr. Chapman is registered with no party affiliation (NPA) and Ms. Nichols is a registered Democrat (DEM). So we urge all subscribers to remain diligent and to join this meeting.  To register meeting, simply click on the image below.  But don't be late for our meeting at 6pm!

A Call For Candidate Petitions And Surveys

Here's a novel concept:  rather than create trite political slogans, why not ask voters what's on their minds when it comes to Manatee County Schools?  That is exactly the approach that Mark Stanoch - candidate for Manatee County School Board District 1 - is pursuing.  The idea is to go door to door in District 1 communities and survey folks while asking for their signature on the Candidate Petition.  It will be fun and a great way to meet your neighbors.  To learn more and to sign up, simply click on this link and fill out a short participation form.

If you live in School Board District 1 (generally north of SR64 and east of I-75) you can sign a petition too!  To download the Candidate Petition, just click on the cleverly placed button below.  Please bring completed forms to our next meeting.

Join The Florida GOP In Preparing For 2024

Volunteers Needed For Rocket Phonics This Summer

Our own Dr. Stephen Guffanti of the Rocket Phonics Foundation is seeking 10 highly motivated volunteers to assist with a summer reading program for third graders here in Manatee County.  As you know, Rocket Phonics has proven to be a wildly successful approach to improving reading ability in lower grades.  This is a wonderful opportunity to help our community grow in the right direction.  To learn more call or text (760) 613-8617.  You will be glad you did!

An Informed Citizenry is the best weapon against Tyranny!

Now more than ever, Conservatives need to be organized and informed.  There still remains a number of Manatee Patriots subscribers missing vital information. So we are providing a link where you can update your information in order for us to keep you informed on important issues, meetings, and events.  To do so, simply click this link
