| | | | The Battle Over Manatee County Schools Continues To Rage

"The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything." — Albert Einstein
You all know Deanna as a sweet-talking, soft-spoken, blue-eyed mom who is concerned about what’s happening in our schools. But many people don’t agree with you. Just look at the opinions of the "inclusive" progressives who have written articles about her in liberal rags, signed her up to porn sites using the Manatee Moms email, and who send her daily emails. Here’s a small sampling of the vitriol she get to delete out of her inbox: - I really feel sorry for kids who are victimized by parents such as you, who are determined to infuse them with stupidity and ignorance. Andrew Mazer, Yarmouth, Maine.
- I can’t wait to start burnin’ me some books! I would start with the bible, of course, then the constitution…or maybe in reverse order. What do you think, motherf—ers? Darin Rogers.
- Jesus loves you, but you’re the kind of people he preached against, in Matthew 7:15.
The reason for their rage is they read the news about the Manatee School Board tackling the pornographic* books in our school libraries.
The Battle
“We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” — Elie Wiesel
You all know there’s been an ongoing fight at the school about “the books.” What you may NOT know is that in response to public pressure and the misrepresentation of State guidance, Superintendent Cynthia Saunders put out a memo telling principals that questionable books on bookshelves need to be covered. That memo caused an uproar. When questioned, Saunders publicly denied she had sent a memo with instructions to cover books. In fact, she denied it three times. On the record. The day after her public statement, Saunders approached one of the Board members to say she had “forgotten” that the memo included instructions to cover books.
Newspapers all over the country responded to Saunders’ memo in lockstep: with rage and indignation that children would be denied access to graphic novels of rape, incest, and childhood sex. When these “news” outlets sat down to research the offense of Manatee citizens protecting children, they came across the site of our fierce warrior: “Manatee Moms.”
They found a blog post called “Woke Busters” that played off the old Ghost Busters’ movie. From there, they read all of the amazing and thorough content that has taken hundreds of hours to compile—and then they launched a personal attack. The Manatee Moms email inbox was inundated with disgusting comments and opinions of random strangers. Hilariously, so were the emails of the “Manatee Patriots,” because the activists masquerading as journalists didn’t do their research enough to know that the Manatee Moms site is not the same entity as the Manatee Patriots.
Courage Encourages Courage
“Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.” — Albert Einstein
Many of you have heard Deanna speak about the schools. What you may not know is she also works with the County Commissioners to rid the county libraries of filth. She tirelessly traces funds to learn where library resources originate, who is donating books, who decides what makes it to the shelves. And her tenacity and hard work pays off. Just this week, the Board of County Commissioners held a workshop and publicly stated they do not want overly sexualized books in the kids’ section of our library or shelves filled with anti-American, pro-Marxists literature—and they’re willing to alter the library policy to ensure it happens.
These wins are happening because one person decided “this is the hill to die on.” Many of you have been inspired by the work Deanna is doing. I hope you continue to personally and publicly cheer Deanna on. Personally and publicly celebrate her successes. But know it comes at a price.
Just Keep Growing
“Raise your words, not your voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder.” — Rumi Deanna’s work has inspired all of us. I’m sure if you’ve read this far, you’re one of the people who share her goals to advance individual liberty, reduce the scope of government, and succeed in passing on a love for beauty, truth, integrity, and personal responsibility. However, her tactic is different from what we’ve seen in the past. - Deanna researches her topic to gain a thorough understanding of the issues.
- She establishes a relationship with decision makers to understand what motivates him or her.
- She appeals to the decision maker from a position that matters to that person.
Because of her approach, she has been able to uncover systemic problems three of which include:
Three big ones: - Federal money enticing local jurisdictions with payoffs.
- Nonprofit organizations dictating policy rather than decisions being made by local staff in the school district or county government.
- A lack of concern and activation among those who claim to want to protect our liberties.
A Time To Act
It’s time to join Deanna in this fight to reclaim our kids and our country. Jack May has announced the Connector Builders program where some of us will interact with elected representatives in an effort to encourage them and to educate them on the issues. But before you do that, you have to know the issues--and you have to know how to approach representatives. In support of this effort, Deanna has offered to hold a training class so we can multiply the work that is being done. Once you take her class, you’ll understand: - How to build relationships with decision makers
- Ways to identify when you’re getting the run around
- Why discipline and strategy are often much more powerful tools that volume and outrage.
If you’d like to be notified about her class, please email her at manateemomsforliberty@gmail.com. It’ll cost you only $25 and a few hours of your time, and in exchange, you’ll be able to become such a powerful and effective activist that the Left may start sending YOU emails encouraging you to quit.
Email Deanna now to get on the waiting list for Deanna’s class so you can make a bigger difference in Manatee County. | | | | FACL Political Leadership Training - April 1 in Venice

I was going over the Manatee Patriots mission statement and core values this week. Honestly, I’m looking for a reason anyone would want to take a chance on a CONCEPT. It’s like, Jack wants me to make a time and effort investment... so what is the return? Well, I think I’ve found it.
Just remember, without your participation, Connection Concepts will stay a concept, and never see the reality of our Mission Statement or administration of our Core Values. Values that are not necessarily those of another group or party... they are your values; you’ve said so!
Here's the Manatee Patriots Mission Statement:
We are a non-partisan organization made up of concerned citizens of Manatee County and surrounding areas and funded by the generous support of the community. The purpose of Manatee Patriots is to restore the use of our US Constitution to its original intent.
Our Core Values are: · Defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Florida. - Maintain the Republic
- Elect only those who express a desire to lead and govern, that, have integrity, and will stand against any foe, foreign or domestic, that would jeopardize our founding documents.
- Protect election integrity at every level of government. We must have fair elections.
- Support our 2nd Amendment right to include “Constitutional Carry.”
- Fiscal Responsibility
- Lobby for a balanced budget amendment in the US legislature
- Oppose raising the debt ceiling.
- Support cabinet level spending bills and oppose all omnibus legislation.
- Ensure local government spending is needful, controlled, and that will maintain our liberty.
- Limited Government
- Government should never be larger than necessary.
- Support zero (0) based budgeting.
- Ensure the Sherriff acts on the constitutional provisions of the office, maintaining our liberty.
- Free Markets
- Regulation is necessary but not to the extent as to infringe on the competitive nature of free markets and personal liberties.
- Use zoning to enhance business opportunities and not as a weapon that detracts or diminishes the marketplace.
- Business is in charge of job creation, and not the government.
- Streamline the building office and the permit process (Cities & County).
- Free markets include School Choice. Schools are in competition, and parents should be able to choose and control the educational opportunities for their children.
- God and Country
- Protect and defend the liberty, conscience and life of every citizen, including in-vitro.
- Separate the government from the church, while never separating the character of the church from the government.
- Find, Vet, Finance, and Run candidates who fear God more than men, people of good character.
I appreciate you guys and respect the power you may wield! -Jack
