It's Been a Busy Week!

Our Manatee Patriots meeting featuring Chad Choate was not the only significant event last week.

Gov. DeSantis Press Conference at SCF

Despite less than 24 hours notice, over 3 dozen patriots from local groups turned out for Gov. Ron DeSantis' press conference on Higher Education Reform last Tuesday morning at the State College of Florida campus in Bradenton. The Governor outlined a number of reforms he is proposing (summarized below) that will be targeting what he referred to as the "DEI Bureaucracy".

Perhaps most intriguing were the remarks made by Christopher Rufo. Chris was recently appointed to the New College of Florida Board of Trustees by Governor DeSantis. He is a filmmaker, journalist and a Senior Fellow for the Manhattan Institute.   In recent years, he has led the fight against critical race theory in American institutions. Rufo’s research and activism inspired a presidential order and legislation in fifteen states, where he has worked closely with conservative governors and lawmakers to craft successful public policy.  He announced at the press conference that over the next few weeks he will reveal the process of how DEI infiltrates into school policy.  We certainly look forward to what Chris has to say.

Manatee County Young Republicans Event

    

Florida House Representative (District 71) Will Robinson and Manatee County Commissioner James Satcher (District 1) were the featured speakers at the Manatee County Young Republicans event at The Parrot Patio Bar and Grill last Thursday evening.  Rep. Robinson shared his view of the upcoming legislative session and emphasized the significance of current legislation (HB 1) concerning school choice.  Commissioner Satcher spoke on a number of issues including future development and road improvements.  They were joined by political consultant Jaimie Miller who provided several insights into the recent re-election of RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.  All speakers were glad to field questions from the audience.  It was an informative and enjoyable evening had by all.

Jack May's Statement to News Channel 10 Regarding the Confederate Memorial

During our last meeting, President Jack May shared with us his remarks  to News Channel 10 in regard to the Confederate Memorial.  Here is his statement:

"The removal and reinstallation of the Confederate Soldiers War Memorial at the historic Manatee Courthouse, is controversial, to say the least.  I support the reinstallation in order to preserve the memory and historical authenticity of the men who fought and died for a lost cause.   In this case, it is to remind us, never again will this nation enslave another human being.  Some state that this is only a reminder of a hurtful past... I submit to you that it should be a reminder to all, that we will not be forced to forget the intolerable side of our history.  For without it, we are doomed to repeat it. 

On December 25th, 1868, President Andrew Johnson granted full pardon and amnesty to all persons engaged in the 'Late Rebellion' (The Civil War).  This pardon required all who had owned slaves to renounce such practice, in an effort to reunite the Republic.  It would take another one hundred years to right the wrongs, and to ensure the collective knowledge of a nation comes to fully realize that all persons are to be judged by their character, and not the color of their skin. 

I find it most unfortunate that there are those from outside our community who would demand a 90-year old soldiers' monument, they find distasteful, removed without understanding there is a benefit, lest we forget.

Why We're Paranoid Over America's Food Supply

Dear friend, 

The diabolical leaders of the World Economic Forum supported by woke multinational corporations, Big Tech, Mega Banks, and many head of nations are waging a war against farmers and cattle ranchers. These billionaires want farmers to stop using fertilizers and reduce the number of cattle world-wide. In the Netherlands farmers are fighting these restrictions that threaten their livelihood and others in different nations. We must fight these powerful evil globalists of the New World Order with first with the Great Awakening and then with the Great Resistance. The World Economic Forum is also planning to establish digital currency world-wide so that the governments can control us and oppress us.

As Tucker points out, many large food factories and large chicken farms have mysteriously burned. Purina feed is making hens to stop laying eggs so now there is a shortage of eggs, and the price has doubled. The United Nations 2030 Agenda is also pushing the fake climate change to enslave us with a totalitarian socialist economy that the World Economic Forum calls the Great Reset of capitalism. What is going on?

Here's Why You Should Sign Up for the Connection Builders Program

I was going over the Manatee Patriots mission statement and core values this week.  Honestly, I’m looking for a reason anyone would want to take a chance on a CONCEPT.  It’s like, Jack wants me to make a time and effort investment... so what is the return?   Well, I think I’ve found it. 

Just remember, without your participation, Connection Concepts will stay a concept, and never see the reality of our Mission Statement or administration of our Core Values.  Values that are not necessarily those of another group or party... they are your values; you’ve said so!

Here's the Manatee Patriots Mission Statement:

We are a non-partisan organization made up of concerned citizens of Manatee County and surrounding areas and funded by the generous support of the community. The purpose of Manatee Patriots is to restore the use of our US Constitution to its original intent.

Our Core Values are:

·      Defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of Florida.

1. Maintain the Republic
2. Elect only those who express a desire to lead and govern, that, have integrity, and will stand against any foe, foreign or domestic, that would jeopardize our founding documents. 
3. Protect election integrity at every level of government.  We must have fair elections.
4. Support our 2^nd Amendment right to include “Constitutional Carry.” 
• Fiscal Responsibility
  1. Lobby for a balanced budget amendment in the US legislature
  2. Oppose raising the debt ceiling.
  3. Support cabinet level spending bills and oppose all omnibus legislation.
  4. Ensure local government spending is needful, controlled, and that will maintain our liberty.
• Limited Government
  1. Government should never be larger than necessary.
  2. Support zero (0) based budgeting.
  3. Ensure the Sherriff acts on the constitutional provisions of the office, maintaining our liberty.
• Free Markets
  1. Regulation is necessary but not to the extent as to infringe on the competitive nature of free markets and personal liberties.
  2. Use zoning to enhance business opportunities and not as a weapon that detracts or diminishes the marketplace.
  3. Business is in charge of job creation, and not the government.
  4. Streamline the building office and the permit process (Cities & County).  
  5. Free markets include School Choice. Schools are in competition, and parents should be able to choose and control the educational opportunities for their children.
• God and Country
  1. Protect and defend the liberty, conscience and life of every citizen, including in-vitro.
  2. Separate the government from the church, while never separating the character of the church from the government.
  3. Find, Vet, Finance, and Run candidates who fear God more than men, people of good character.
