Convention of States Speaker Next Tuesday

Next Tuesday Jonathan Viaud, the Regional Director for the Convention of States organization, will be on hand to discuss the benefits of having a convention. This is in stark contrast to Michael Sabga's recent presentation. So come and listen to this alternative view on a crucial topic.

Insights on the War in Ukraine Later This Month

Now for some really exciting news. Our own Tammy Fitzgerald will deliver a presentation entitled "Why We Must Support Ukraine". Tammy as you know served an entire career as a Foreign Service officer around the world and she brings unique insights into the current conflict. So be sure to catch Tammy's powerful presentation at our meeting on June 13.

Keith Flaugh To Speak on June 20

We are delighted to have Keith Flaugh - CEO and Co-Founder of Florida Citizens Alliance (FCA) - as our featured speaker on June 20. FCA is a leading organization devoted to improving Florida’s K-12 education by uniting and empowering teachers, students, and parents. So mark your calendars for this important meeting.

Rep. Tommy Gregory On June 27

We round out our speaker schedule for June with a presentation by Rep. Tommy Gregory (District 72). As Chairman of the Florida House Judiciary Committee, Tommy has some keen insights into the recent legislative session so you won't want to miss his presentation.

Speaker Bio: Jonathan Viaud

Jonathan Viaud serves as Regional Director and Political Liaison for Convention of States Action. He is also a volunteer with the Convention of States Florida team. Jonathan first became involved with Convention of States in 2014 as a District Captain in New Jersey. Later, he served as New Jersey's State Communications Coordinator, then as State Director. Jonathan grew up in Bogota, New Jersey, and met his wife Sarah in 2012. They later moved to Franklin Lakes, New Jersey, and welcomed their daughter, Erin, in December of 2019. The Viaud family moved to Lakewood Ranch in October of 2020, where they currently reside.

Florida Federation Of Teenage Republicans Annual Convention

While attending the Florida Homeschool Convention in Orlando, we were introduced to the Florida Federation of Teenage Republicans. This is a group of amazing teenagers who respect our Constitution and understand the depth of our freedoms. They have announced their annual convention taking place in Leesburg, Florida with an exciting lineup of speakers. Tickets are are on sale through June 7 so sign up today!

A Manatee Patriot Runs For School Board

It's official! Your humble editor - Mark Stanoch - has filed to run for Manatee County School Board District 1 next year. To kick off the campaign, we are looking to obtain 700 signed Candidate Petitions over the next few months. If you are so inclined, and you reside in School Board District 1, we are asking that you download the Candidate Petition form, complete and sign it, and bring it to the next Manatee Patriots meeting. Join The Florida GOP In Preparing For 2024

This is a reminder that the Republican Party of Manatee County is recruiting participants for an Election Integrity Committee. Information will be shared with the Florida Fair Elections Coalition in this effort.

Volunteers Needed For Rocket Phonics This Summer

Our own Dr. Stephen Guffanti of the Rocket Phonics Foundation is seeking 10 highly motivated volunteers to assist with a summer reading program for third graders here in Manatee County. As you know, Rocket Phonics has proven to be wildly a successful approach to improving reading ability in lower grades.
