Rep. Mike Beltran To Join Us On Tuesday
Our featured speaker Tuesday evening will be Florida House Representative Mike Beltran (District 70). Mike is a rock-solid Conservative and this will be his first visit to Manatee Patriots. So please plan on coming out and extending him a warm welcome to Manatee County.
The War On Farmers To Be Presented On May 16
Michael Sabga from the John Birch Society will be on hand to discuss the current war on farmers and its effect on the US Food Supply. You won't want to miss what will prove to be a grim presentation.
Commissioner George Kruse To Speak On May 23
Manatee County Commissioner At Large George Kruse will be the featured speaker during our meeting on May 23. No stranger to Manatee Patriots, this will be Commissioner Kruse's first visit of the year. So let's turn out and extend George a warm Manatee Patriots welcome!
Commissioner James Satcher To Present On May 30
Our final speaker for May will be Manatee County Commissioner for District 1, James Satcher. We look forward to an engaging conversation with the Commissioner.

It has been our tradition to host a potluck dinner at all Manatee Patriots meetings. So we ask attendees to please bring along an item that can be shared among fellow Patriots. Bring any portion you like but most folks tend to bring 10-12 servings of a particular dish.

Speaker Bio: Mike Beltran
| |
Mike Beltran was born in New York, New York, and lives in Lithia, Florida. Beltran graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 2002. He earned a B.A. in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005 and a J.D. from Harvard University in 2008. Beltran's career experience includes working as a litigator with Beltran Litigation, P.A.; an associate with Boies, Schiller & Flexner LLP; and a law clerk to United States District Judge Steven D. Merryday
Rep. Beltran was elected into the Florida State House of Representatives in 2018. During his tenure hehas sponsored a number of key pieces of legislation including protecting Property Owners from Public Nuisances (FL H0269) as well as several bills protecting the unborn. (From Ballotpedia) | |

With the final selection for School Superintendent scheduled for May 16, the School Board of Manatee County has arranged two ways to get to know the 3 finalists better next week. As seen in the graphic below, the in-person interviews will be televised live, next Wednesday, May 10 between 9am-3pm on MSTV. To watch these interviews next week, just click this link.
Also, a Community "Meet & Greet" will be held next Wednesday, May 10 between 6 - 8pm at the Urban Loft at Manatee Central located at 902 Manatee Ave E in Bradenton. | |

Our own Dr. Stephen Guffanti of the Rocket Phonics Foundation is seeking 10 highly motivated volunteers to assist with a summer reading program for third graders here in Manatee County. As you know, Rocket Phonics has proven to be wildly a successful approach to improving reading ability in lower grades.
