Authentic.
It was another packed house last Tuesday evening for our featured speaker, Manatee County Commissioner for District 1, James Satcher. It was a long evening too as almost a dozen audience members questioned the Commissioner on a variety of issues. Throughout the discussion, James offered well considered insights which revealed his true Conservative beliefs. He is certainly an honest and sincere representative for Manatee County's most rural district.
We sincerely appreciate the Commissioner's participation and look forward to having him join us for future presentations.

Convention of States Speaker Next Week
Next week Jonathan Viaud, the Regional Director for the Convention of States organization, will be on hand to discuss the benefits of having a convention during our meeting on June 6. This is in stark contrast to Michael Sabga's recent presentation. So come and listen to this alternative view on a crucial topic.
Insights on the War in Ukraine Later This Month
Now for some really exciting news. Our own Tammy Fitzgerald will deliver a presentation entitled "Why We Must Support Ukraine". Tammy as you know served an entire career as a Foreign Service officer around the world and she brings unique insights into the current conflict. So be sure to catch Tammy's powerful presentation at our meeting on June 13.

This is a group of amazing teenagers who respect our Constitution and understand the depth of our freedoms. It's official! Your humble editor - Mark Stanoch - has filed to run for Manatee County School Board District 1 next year. To kick off the campaign, we are looking to obtain 700 signed Candidate Petitions over the next few months. If you are so inclined, and you reside in School Board District 1, we are asking that you download the Candidate Petition form, complete and sign it, and bring it to the next Manatee Patriots meeting. While the current debt ceiling negotiations are a major disappointment for Conservatives there is some good news. Our local Representatives - Vern Buchanan and Greg Steube - say they oppose the current debt ceiling package forcing Speaker of the House to rely on garnering Democratic votes to ensure passage. Our own Dr. Stephen Guffanti of the Rocket Phonics Foundation is seeking 10 highly motivated volunteers to assist with a summer reading program for third graders here in Manatee County. As you know, Rocket Phonics has proven to be wildly a successful approach to improving reading ability in lower grades.
